Getting to know you

Almost two weeks old and we are finally getting to the nursing isn't hurting anymore. Yeah! She gets more sweet every day. I love just looking at her. She already has a double chin and eating so well that she is growing too big for the newborn diapers.

Also yesterday Zara celebrated First communion with her class and received a blessing from Father Ken. It was a beautiful celebration and all the children looked so wonderful.

Almost done

Unless I go into labor on my own the baby is coming Tuesday April 21st for a scheduled induction. I am nervous and excited and ready to be done with the pregnancy part and looking forward to the taking care of baby part. I feel like there is a lot I need to do before Tuesday and I really don't care if I get it done or not. Please pray that all is well with our little blessing and my nerves. I can use all the help I can get.

Waiting and Waddling

I am getting antsy waiting for my baby to come. I am counting down at this point. We have two weeks and 4 days to go unless something happens to make the Doctor decide earlier. The good news is it is during spring break and Auntie Jane is coming to make sure someone is watching the rest of the little darlings so I don't have to worry.

Our life is rather hectic right now with softball practices for two, after school tutoring for three and non stress tests and nutritionist appointments three times a week for mommy. Unfortunately these things all seem to be happening at the same time of day. Thank God the girls have class mates on their teams and willing parents to schlep our daughters to practices and games.

Are we ready for the baby? Not exactly where I would like to be but I can't wait to meet my new baby.

Non stress tests are stressful

As I approach my 35th week of pregnancy the Doctor wants two non stress tests a week. This would be fine I suppose if I had someone to watch after my active toddler. Figuring it all out is very stressful but figure it out I will. I really hope to avoid the c section.

Frustration

I feel the pressure of the baby's impending arrival and want to get so many things done. Alas, I do not have the energy that was available in my second trimester. I have an unholy desire to make sure there is nothing under the bed, closet floors are clean and flat surfaces are tidy (any Riddles or anyone married to a Riddles will be laughing uncontrollably now). There is nothing wrong with wanting a clean house is there? I will be able to clean it eventually but for now I will just have to be patient with myself and realize this is not forever.
